Here is Jason's crash in the Hill and hole at Bunker Hill, luckily he got out with a pretty bad concussion, a bruised lung, and a lot of broken parts on his truck - but thank goodness he is alive!!!!
his time as 4.2xx seconds and he took 1st place and now is leading the open class points in the central states hill and hole championship series

that pit looks pretty dry for a hill n hole track. wow and the hills looked a little abrupt. glad he is okay and will race again, doubly glad no one else was injured. Another reason everyone should be inspecting their rides for safety- roll cages, tranny shields, drive shaft loops/u joint covers, throttle linkage/returns, race suits, fuel lines fire xtuinguishers, ect- make it safe for you and those who love to watch you.
sure gonna miss the rat rod mudder! wishing for a speedy recovery for linden and whatever he puts together again. i was looking forward to him and darren wilson duking it out at hamilton.

Safety first, I plan out every run as I am gonna wreck and check all options to keep all of our fans and family safe. I will not run if I think there is any chance at all that I will hurt someone. As this run Norm went to the end of the pit and moved everyone back until he felt it was safe, then gave me the signal to let her rip! Nitroglycerin will be back soon, sportn a new frame and body, (I think we got our moneys worth out of this one...lol!) Hopefully by Hamilton, but definatley for the biggest race in mud racing history ... Poteau Oklahoma! Hope to see everyone there!!! And I would like to thank everyone for all the prayers and concerns, Mud racing is truly a family sport!

First off, so glad you're okay! I did have a question about the guy at the end of the pit, and I assume that was Norm. I know he was off to the side & with a pit in between, but given the speed you had going, I don't think I'd want him out there on that side of the guard rails in the future. I know we all used to stand 1' off the track to wave the red flag in the old days, but it'd be horrible to run over a teamate or track worker

Tex,
yeah it was an official of the kmro and he was quite a ways back, but still close enough to "feel" like he was there
the mud was actually deeper than it looked and than i thought it was originally. everything kept drying out, i heard someone say that the temp was like 107* that day - i know it was freaking hot - the HNH pit was re-watered right before Jason's pass and the crowd was moved at the end of the pit, they were allowed to leave their tents there, but they had to be south of the bleachers, the fire trucks were moved back and we had to get a photographer out of the shutdown area, but everyone was in agreement and the crowd moved without any guff.
Bunker Hill has a nice little set up; plenty of parking, shaded bleachers, easy access off of I-70 - Scott Betts (Too Sexy) and crew did a good job on this run esp. considering the weather factor.
I can assure you that Jason Linden is thinking safety first before he ever loads his truck on the trailer - he announced that he would not run unless the crowd moved and everyone helping with the race agreed - Jason builds his trucks for the worst case scenario and sets an example that really should be followed - just as Dusty said in the post above about roll cages, blankets, driveline loops etc.

Two Thumbs Up !!
I like what I'm seeing from the Mid West racers (not the part about them being slow) but the part where safety for all those involved, is being taken seriously. Good Job Linden Racing ! And to all the other guys making this same stance, my hats off to you too !
Whatever's Fair
